How to create your own business cards

Business cards still offer a personal touch that can help you stand out in a crowded market place

One word of warning, please don’t buy a huge amount of printed business cards in the early years of your new business. You might end up changing your brand colours, or your logo. Heck most people don’t even have a logo when they start out, but then decide to get one later. The thing is, you don’t want to have a bunch of cards that you never use because you made some changes.

This is why handmade business cards are super useful, and personally I think they are perfect for small, creative businesses or those with a high degree of personal connection. You can make something yourself or you can order small batches online.

Here are some simple, affordable and fun, business card options for new businesses

Custom stamps are super handy for your new business

Stamps are super useful, not only can you use them on your own blank business cards, but you can use them everywhere, on client notes, packaging if you sell products. You will find many uses for these, and they are affordable too.
Fancy tip: - consider ordering one for your business name and website, another for your postal address and a third for just your logo. This way you have a multitude of options to use individually or mix and match 🙅🏽‍♀️

My client Mary (The Sensitive Sherpa) ordered a custom stamp of the logo I created for her to make her cards!

Keep your cards protected from damage, and with you at all times

Make sure to have them with you when you are out and in a hard protective case. I used to carry cards with me but in my soft wallet and they'd always get munched up or bent and worn. Now I always use a small hard case. These hard cases look like they'd work well.
