Website builders

Squarespace is a beautiful website platform that’s evolved over many years with many fans. Squarespace provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with a reliable website that is easy to edit and maintain for an affordable price.

I am a Squarespace Circle member, and you can get 20% off your first year and a free domain name with Squarespace if you want to use my referral link here.

Wordpress.org is another perfect website platform. For most people, it will take more time and energy to manage and set up than Squarespace. If you choose WordPress, I recommend Wordpress.org over Wordpress.com.

Wix has a FREE version and is simple to use.

Client management (payments, booking and more)

(for service-based entrepreneurs)

17 Hats I’ve used 17 Hats for many years for a good reason. I’ve evaluated the competition, and this keeps coming up on top for me. It also does everything the other tools below can do and more. It saves me a lot of time and money.

automated emails (including scheduling and more)

invoices & online payments

sign contracts online

booking system & calendars

workflows (loads of automation available here)

client portals

and so much more!

17Hats does for me now what I used to have to pay for several different tools to do for me, and it is much cheaper. Use the link here for 50% off. I do not get a commission from them for referring you. However, you get 50% off with my link.

Free booking systems

(for your business or side hustle)

  • 10to8 Booking and scheduling program loaded with free features

  • Calendly  I used Calendly when I first started this online business. I love its simplicity & there is a FREE version; however, it has more limitations than 10to8.

Use Gmail as a personal assistant.

  • Gmail Canned Responses. If you use Gmail, you already have this, but most don’t know it! Next time you open Gmail to write an email, look at the bottom right for the 3-dots. Click on them and choose “Templates,” you can save emails you often send to reuse or edit whenever you like.

  • Gmail schedules emails. This is a default feature of Gmail now, and you can find it on your “Send” button. Click the arrow.

Sign contracts

  • Hello Sign is an excellent tool for quickly signing contracts and agreements online. I used this more before I started using 17Hats, which does this for me now.  You can use this for FREE too!

Legal templates for your website

These templates can be used on your website. Please feel free to seek legal advice when you need it.

  • Terms Feed A resource for some free legal templates and paid versions.
